Therapy To Help You Overcome Anxiety, Relationship Anxiety, People-Pleasing and Self-doubt in Los Angeles
You Deserve A Space To Feel Grounded, Connected, and Supported With Anxiety
Especially when life has taught you that safety comes from shrinking, quieting yourself, or blending into the background.
Anxiety, judgement and criticism have been constant companions in your life, and with them came fear, anxiety, overwhelm, guilt and shame.
Underneath the exterior mask of following cultural and societal pressures and expectations, you long to live authentically and show up as your true self. But the fear of people leaving has been holding you back. This often shows up as bottling up your emotions, having your boundaries tested and crossed, and feeling disconnected and stuck.
What once felt protective now is beginning to feel heavy, maybe it always has. Feelings of resentment, guilt, and the belief that you’re “not enough” keep surfacing.
You are not alone in this experience.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when balancing personal, cultural, and societal pressures. Whether it's family expectations, systemic stressors, and the weight of people-pleasing can all factor into how anxiety lives in the body and impacts relationships.
As an anxiety therapist in Los Angeles, CA, I provide anxiety therapy for adults— especially first-gen, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ adults— who are ready to break free out of these cycles. Together, we create a safe space to process emotions safely, set boundaries, and reconnect with you are at your core, so you can finally exhale and rest.
Have you been told not to take up space, and are now feeling emotionally burnt out?

Hi, I’m Ligia (she/her/ella), an anxiety therapist in Los Angeles, CA
I specialize in working with anxious adults— especially first-generation, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ adults who have spent much of their lives needing to hold it together.
Finding the right therapist is an essential part of your healing journey. As an anxiety therapist based in Los Angeles and offering therapy across California, I believe effective anxiety therapy begins with feeling understood. Not just in your symptoms, but in your story, your values, and lived experiences.
My approach is rooted in cultural awareness, inclusivity, and deep respect for the ways identity and background shape how anxiety shows up. I support first-generation, BIPOC, and Queer adults who are navigating the weight of expectaions, relationship stress, people-pleasing, and persistent self-doubt. When you feel seen and affirmed in therapy, it becomes possible to build stronger boundaries, experience deeper connection, and move toward healing that feels genuine and sustainable.
In my work as an anxiety therapist in Los Angeles CA, I focus on helping clients move through anxiety, while building a greater sense of safety within themselves and in their relationships. I recently shared this perspective in Bustle’s article, “The 10-Minute Rule That Can Strengthen Relationships.”
How I Support Adults with Anxiety
As a Latinx, first-generation therapist, I bring both clinical training and personal understanding into the therapy room. I know how complicated it can feel to carry cultural, societal, and family expectations — especially if who have learned to hide parts of yourself in order to belong or keep the peace.
Together, we create a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Our work together focuses on building awareness, notice patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and learning practical ways to calm both your mind and body. To help you live with more self-trust and compassion.
What Makes My Approach to Anxiety Therapy Different
Therapy for anxiety with me goes beyond insight and awareness alone. I integrate nervous system regulation and embodiment practice to help you feel more grounded in daily life and more aligned in your relationships and choices.
In our work together, we may:
Identify emotional patterns rooted in early attachment wounds
Practice grounding techniques to manage anxiety
Explore new ways of relating that feel authentic and sustainable
Reframe old beliefs that no longer serve you
Cultivate self-compassion and emotional safety

My practice acknowledges that no two clients have the same story, even if they share similar identities. Meaning I recognize how each of our past events (whether relational, cultural, or systemic) shape our way in interaction with life (your behaviors, feelings, and responses).
I work through an intersectional and trauma-informed lens, helping you learn to self-soothe, develop resilience, and rebuild trust—within yourself and with others.
Together, we’ll explore how your body responds to stress, how your mind makes sense of your experiences, and how you can cultivate safety, even during emotional discomfort.
